Richard B. Cohen is a co-founder and principal of CGI Companies, Brookline, MA. CGI operates commercial real estate in several states on the eastern seaboard, including Massachusetts, New Jersey, Philadelphia, and North Carolina. He is also a CPM, Certified Property Manager, a distinction awarded by the National Association of Realtors and Institute of Real Estate Management.

Richard has had extensive property management, leasing, and construction experience. Since forming CGI, he has supervised the renovation and expansion of their shopping centers, along with lease negotiations and the establishment of ongoing relationships with many national and local retail tenants.

Richard is also COO of CustomersFirst.com, a consulting firm that offers web-based tools and applied expertise that assist retail operations, restaurants and other customer-centric establishments in gathering and analyzing their customers' feedback in order to improve their operational efficiency.

Richard is actively involved in many local community services and associations, including serving on the Board of Directors of the Greater Boston Jewish Community Centers. He is the former president of Camp Kingswood, Inc., an overnight camp located in Bridgeton, Maine, and currently is on the Board of Directors of the camp. Richard is also a past President of the Windsor Club, a tennis and swim club in Newton. Richard resides in Waban, MA.

Hal is President of HCG & Associates, Inc, HCG Properties Inc., Chairman of PlatformQ, LLC, and a founding partner in the CGI Companies.

Hal is a member of Children’s Hospital Board of Overseers and past Chairman of Children's Hospital Heart Council. He is also a member of the Executive Board of the Anti-Defamation League in New England and a Commissioner of ADL Nationally. In addition, Hal is a Board Member of the Harvard Medical School Osher Institute and the American Jewish Committee.

Hal is a graduate of Boston University’s School of Management (1977). Mr. Garnick and his affiliates have been active in real estate for over 25 years, owning and operating over forty-five commercial properties.

Gerald D. Cohen (“Jerry”) is a founding partner of SSG Development, LLC, and founder and manager of SF Properties, LLC, SF Properties, Inc., (“SF Properties”) and CGI Companies with expertise in financing, leasing, developing and managing real estate.

Mr. Cohen is in charge of financing and strategic planning for SSG Development. In addition, he operates over 34 properties consisting of shopping centers, downtown store blocks and office buildings. SF Properties, Inc. has extensive experience in the renovation and restoration of properties throughout Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina and Pennsylvania. Currently, SF Properties has several development projects in development/renovation totaling over 250,000 sq. ft. Mr. Cohen was an organizer of Commonwealth National Bank (2001), a nationally chartered bank in Worcester, Massachusetts. He currently serves as a member of the Executive Committee, chairman of Nominating and Governance Committee, and the Board of Directors.

Mr. Cohen currently serves as a member of the Board of Overseers at The Children’s Hospital in Boston; a member of Kellogg’s Graduate School of Management’s Real Estate Research Center Advisory Board and Kellogg Alumni Council; a member of Brown University’s Corporation Committee on Facilities and Design and its Strategic Long Range Committee and Chairman of the Real Estate Sub-Committee; an overseer of the Museum of Science; and member of the Executive Board of the New England Anti-Defamation League. Mr. Cohen is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (“ICSC”) and a licensed Massachusetts and New York real estate broker. Additionally, Mr. Cohen was appointed Director of the MassDevelopment Board in November 2007.

Mr. Cohen was a Member of HEFA (1989 – 1991). A graduate of Brown University (1975), Mr. Cohen also received his MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management (1979).
